Simulation and Research Center

The 'Be' Simulation and Research Center

The ‘Be’ Simulation and Research Center at Achva Academic College was established in 2017, as part of a project sponsored as a grant from the ERASMUS DARE program, and in 2020 was recognized as an independent research center. Today it is a leading center nationwide and is part of the Ministry of Education’s National Program for Simulation Centers in Education.

Part of the faculty of Education and Leadership, ‘Be’ Center activities are integral to the students’ progress and used as part of their curriculum training throughout their studies. Offering simulation-based learning that connects theory and practice, the center also provides simulation workshops for teachers as part of the college’s professional development model for teachers. The ‘Be’ Center now serves students across various training disciplines, including communication disorders, clinical psychology, and nursing. All simulations take place in a safe educational atmosphere that invites the participants to deeply observe their action patterns and examine how they affect the advancement of their goals in professional interpersonal interactions. The insights gained through simulation sessions are formally recorded and become part of the executive knowledge base of each department or field.

The ‘Be’ Center boasts ongoing collaborations and relationships with relevant government ministries, local authorities and non-profit organizations in Israel and around the world. The Center team has relationships with senior officials in the Ministry of Education, district inspectors and the chief scientist’s office. In addition, continuous working relationships have been built over the years between the center’s staff and municipalities within the district, Pascha centers, schools, professional organizations and institutes such as Avni Rusha, Ramah and more.
