ד"ר לוי אבוחצירא, זוכת מלגת נשיא המדינה לחדשנות ולמצוינות מדעית לדוקטורנטים מצטיינים לשנת 2022 וזוכת פרס גולדהירש לדוקטורנטים מצטיינים שתחום מחקרם עוסק בזיכרון השואה. ראש התכנית להוראת הספרות וראש תכנית קהילת "כנף"בפקולטה לחינוך ולמנהיגות, מרצה בתכנית לתואר שני בתרבות ישראל. מנצחת על המקהלה האקדמית הרב תרבותית – 'קולות שלובים'. בנוסף, עוסקת בפיתוח ובחדשנות פדגוגית.
תחומי מחקרה מצויים בממשק שבין היסטוריה, חינוך, ספרות ותרבות, ומתמקדים בתהליכי הבניית ידע, זיכרון, זהות ותודעה היסטורית במרחבים חינוכיים ותרבותיים, בפרספקטיבה כרונולוגית ונרטיבית. מחקריה עוסקים בזיכרון השואה בחינוך החרדי בישראל, בבחינת היחסים בין היסטוריוגרפיה, זיכרון קולקטיבי, זהות קבוצתית ותהליכי הבניית ידע היסטורי, ובמקומם של משאבי חינוך כסוכני זיכרון בתיווך העבר ובהבניית תודעה היסטורית. כמו כן, מתמקדים מחקריה בתהליכי עיצוב נרטיב, בזיכרון והעברה בין-דורית ובין-תרבותית, תוך בחינת תפקידה של הספרות בהבניית זיכרון אישי וקולקטיבי ובתהליכי עיצוב זהות, וכן בפרקטיקות מוסיקליות כמנוף לדיאלוג בקבוצות זהות.

I graduated from Bar-Ilan University in 2009. My doctoral studies inspired my research in the field of Clinical Linguistics, and my Ph.D. thesis presented a study examining the acquisition of a second language (Hebrew) by speakers with schizophrenia. During my Ph.D. studies and for several subsequent years, I implemented linguistic analysis to get insight into the process of the Second Language acquisition by schizophrenia-affected patients.

After a break, that was related to maternity leave, the focus of my research shifted to implementing linguistic analysis as a generic tool in educational settings and demonstrating the value of linguistic analysis for understanding implicitly conveyed messages. In particular, since 2017, I have employed the methods of linguistic analysis (predominantly Systemic Functional Linguistics) to understand the phenomena related to the development of pre- and inservice teachers’ professional identity in the context of PBL and team teaching. In addition, I have applied the means of Systemic Functional Linguistic analysis, computational linguistics, and language psychology methods to study science teachers’ worldviews in the context of the digital revolution (collaboration with Tsybulsky, D.). Finally, a similar linguistic analysis methodology was used to understand the process of Mobile Learning adoption by pre- and inservice teachers. In particular, a recently submitted study is dedicated to inservice teachers’ emotional response to their experience of the ML-technology adoption (collaboration with Frei-Landau R., Avidov-Ungar O.).

In 2018, I joined Achva Simulations Center, led by Dr. Levin. In our collaborative work, I employed methods of linguistic analysis to shed light on the evidence of preservice teachers’ professional development during Simulation-Based Learning. In addition, as a member of the Simulation Center research team, I have contributed to examining the simulation-observer's learning experience by utilizing various methods of linguistic analysis as a generic tool (in collaboration with Frei-Landau R). Finally, I have used the methods of linguistic analysis to examine how elementary mathematics teachers’ competencies to implement neuroscience theory into their teaching practices were built

Professor Algom received his Ph.D. in psychophysics under the mentorship of Harvey Babkoff, examining auditory temporal integration of a tones and noise bursts. Subsequently, working with Larry Marks at Yale, Algom pursued research on a wide range of topics in psychophysics, particularly, on binaural summation, localization, and, more generally, on psychophysical scaling. He composed several well received tutorials on scaling, applying, among other tools, Norman Anderson's Functional Measurement. More recently, he applies tools of stochastic modeling developed by James Townsend. Algom is a founder of the International Society of Psychophysics, and, over the course of many years, served in various roles on the executive committee. His most recent contribution concerns a well- overdue correction of the misnomer "the Weber-Fechner Law

Prof. Feingold is a trained psychologist, a senior lecturer and head of the MA program in rehabilitation psychology at Achva Academic College, Israel. His main research areas are psychosocial predictors of cannabis use and cannabis use disorder, integrating quantitative and qualitative research methods. Prof. Feingold received his MA and PhD degrees from Bar-Ilan University, Israel and was a research fellow at Sheba Medical Centre in Israel. He published more than 50 research papers and chapters in academic books and serves as a guest editor in Frontier in Psychiatry and European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience. He is also a board member at the Israeli Society on Addiction Medicine and Treatment
