השכלה
פרופ' גבי שפלר הוא פסיכולוג קליני בכיר ופסיכואנליטיקאי. למד לשלושת תאריו בפסיכולוגיה באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. היה חבר סגל המחלקה לפסיכולוגיה, שימש כראש המגמה לפסיכולוגיה קלינית, מופקד הקתדרה לפסיכואנליזה על שם פרויד ומנהל מרכז פרויד לחקר הפסיכואנליזה באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. בעבר (עד 2018) שימש במשך 44 שנים רצופות כפסיכולוג הראשי של המרכז הרפואי הרצוג בירושלים, שם ניהל צוות קליני רב מקצועי, היה ממונה על הדרכה והכשרה של מאות מתמחים וסטודנטים לפסיכולוגיה קלינית. עסק רבות בהוראה, הדרכה, טיפול ומחקר בטיפולים קצרי מועד ופרסם שלושה ספרים ועשרות מאמרים בתחום זה.
פרופ' שפלר שירת 10 שנים בוועדת האתיקה של הסתדרות הפסיכולוגים בישראל, מהן שש שנים כיו"ר הוועדה. ניהל במשך 12 שנים את תחום האתיקה בפסיכולוגיה במרכז לאתיקה במשכנות שאננים בירושלים. היה מיוזמי הוראת האתיקה בישראל ומראשוני המורים לאתיקה באקדמיה ובמסגרות מקצועיות טיפוליות שונות. ערך וניהל עשרות ימי עיון וסמינרים באתיקה מקצועית לקהלים מגוונים. עוסק בפיתוח חשיבה אתית מקצועית, עדכון וכתיבת קודים אתיים לארגונים מקצועיים טיפוליים (הסתדרות הפסיכולוגים בישראל, החברה הפסיכואנליטית בישראל, הקבנ"ים בצה"ל, האוניברסיטה העברית ועוד) ופרסם שלושה ספרים ועשרות מאמרים גם בתחום זה. משמש כיום כיו"ר ועדת הערר העליונה לבירורים וערעורים בענייני אתיקה בחברה הפסיכואנליטית בישראל.
מאז 2020 נמנה על סגל הליבה של התכנית לתואר שני בפסיכולוגיה קלינית רגישת תרבות במכללה האקדמית אחוה, ומלמד בה פסיכותרפיה פסיכודינמית ואתיקה מקצועית בצד הדרכה קלינית על עבודה מעשית בשדה.
מחקר
מראשוני חוקרי הפסיכותרפיה בישראל. ביצע את המחקר הרנדומאלי המבוקר(RCT) הראשון על תוצאות של טיפולים דינמיים קצרי מועד ועמידותם לאורך זמן . בנוסף, ערך מחקרי תוצאה ותהליך בטיפולים קצרי מועד ומחקרי הערכה ותוצאה לטיפולים פסיכואנליטיים ארוכי טווח בחולים קשים מאוד, בשיתוף עם עמותת 'לכל נפש'. שותף במחקרים על התפתחות המטפלים ועל תהליכי ההכשרה, ויחד עם אחרים תרגם את השאלונים וייצר את המדגמים הישראליים במחקרים הבינלאומיים. תחומי התמחות: פסיכולוגיה

ד"ר אשרית כספי ברוך בעלת תואר שלישי מבית הספר לניהול באוניברסיטת בן גוריון בנגב. עבודת הדוקטורט שלה עסקה בבחירת קריירה בניהול. בעלת תואר מוסמך בפסיכולוגיה קלינית, ותואר ראשון במדעי ההתנהגות (בהצטיינות). בעלת ניסיון רב בפסיכולוגיה תעסוקתית, בתחום של מיון עובדים בארגונים. מתמקדת במיון מועמדים המבוסס על התאמתם לתפקיד הספציפי ולארגון הספציפי.

מחקר
המחקר הנוכחי מתמקד בניתוח יומנים של יעקב פריזר, יהודי, בין היזמים הבולטים של תעשיית הזהב ברוסיה הצארית ובתולדות הקהילה היהודית של עיר חרבין שבמנצ'וריה (סין). יעקב פריזר היה איש מעשה והשאיר חותם בתחומים רבים: פיתוח כלכלה, תעשייה ומסחר בסיביר המזרחית, תמיכה במוסדות חינוך ותרבות יהודיים ולא יהודיים, השתתפות בחיי הקהילה היהודית של ברגוזין ואירקוטסק ומאוחר יותר גם בקהילה היהודית של חרבין.
