My main interest areas deal with complex human-related systems and the fascinating multidisciplinary interfaces between humans, human cognitive capabilities and technology, from various viewpoints, with specialty in wide-scope, top-down and in-depth applicable research

These comprise the research fields of intelligent and interactive systems & environments (AI – Artificial Intelligence, ML – Machine Learning), as well as affective (emotions, mental states, moods, physiological state, attitudes, and the like) and social multimodal human-machine interactions and systems (HCI – human computer Interactions, human robots Interactions & cognitive robotics), speech based and multimodal interface technologies (signal processing, and more), including the development of technologies, ML and signal processing methods and algorithms, designing and recording datasets, building interfaces, conducting human experiments, and more

The application areas vary: remote education, health, mental health and wellbeing; communication network; remote navigation of robots; personalization and authentication in mobile phone applications; optoelectronics and humans (MAFAT), and more
