Aviv Shaish, Ph.D. is a researcher of atherosclerosis at the Bert W. Strassburger Lipid Center, of Sheba Medical Center, Israel, Lecturer in Achva Academic College and consultant to biotechnology companies
Prof. Shaish received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. with distinction from Ben-Gurion University of Beer-Sheva, Israel, in 1985 and 1987 respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1993 from the Biochemistry department, the Weizmann Institute of Science. After his post-doctoral work at Washington University, School of Medicine, Saint-Louis, MO, he was appointed senior researcher at Sheba Medical Center, in 1993
Prof Shaish is a member of the Israeli Medical Association-Society for Research, Prevention and Treatment of Atherosclerosis

prof. Shaish has published more than 90 papers. His current research interest is in the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, with emphasis on the use of Dunaliella as a therapeutic means in this disease
